Thanks Fishcop. My Chinese Algae Eater mysteriously disappeared from this 5-gallon tank last week, and suddenly the Peppered Cory Cat got a lot fatter. I can only guess that it died and provided a few nice meals for Cory. There is a lot of string algae in the tank, but I guess you’re right, maybe it starved to death since they don’t eat algae when they’re mature (oops, learned the hard way).

I should get a bigger tank soon where there’s plenty of hiding places for the eggs and fry of the Danios. I don’t think they’re too happy in this tiny tank.
