Hi jojo, mine were also very shy in a small tank like yours even with tons of cover. I found that when they went into my large community tank with other fish they settled really well and never hide. My tip would be to maybe add a few Endlers guppys to your tank as they are not shy and are not egg or fry eaters, they should give the CPD’s confidence to come out of hiding. Goodluck.
