My aquarium has only these types of fish: Celestial Pearl Danios, Sundadanio Axelrodi and 2 Otocinclus. A couple of weeks ago, both my CPDs and Axelrodi blues exhibited spawning behavior. A day or 2 later, I noticed eggs in one my plants (Mayaca Fluviatilis). I assumed they would all be eaten by the fish in the tank. Much to my surprise, 8 days ago I noticed the first fry. I have at least 4 (they still swim in and near the plant), but they are still extremely small. So little is documented about the Axelrodis, that I am betting they are CPD. They are eating Hikari First Bites Fry food and going towards baby brine shrimp (although I am not certain they are eating them yet – the adults certainly are, though!)
At what point (if they survive) will they be big enough for me to identify?
