    Hi guys.

Here’s some info about my recent breeding project. Since no one is at home for a couple of weeks, I got some containers and started a new breeding project:

First I start buy getting a couple of 5g plastic containers, checked to see if they can hold water without breaking.

After a night with water in it, I placed the containers to the kitchen bench, placed sponge filters in them:

In one of the containers, I put some marbles as a test.

This was a nightmare, literately. I couldn’t sleep when air pump was on, too much noise. (My bedroom is just next to the kitchen) I changed the pump for 2 times, all of those were making noise, so I ended up putting it in to a cabinet:

Left container has some fine mesh at the bottom, with xmass moss on top of that. Right one has marbles & flame moss on top.

Getting fish ready for their new home:

    They are scared at first:

    Added a lamp:

Added a couple of Lemna Minor floating plant to clear water and a food source to newcomers:

I don’t know if this attempt will be successful, because the heat is going up here. I hope I can get some fry..

2nd day here, I see some mating dance but I’m not quite sure, cause the temperature is 26C. When I open the lights I can’t see any of the 5 on marble container; the left with mesh is fine, they swim in the light too. I think marbles shine in the light, that makes them a little nervous. Also floating plants are swimming due the flow of sponge filter. Maybe their shadows frighten CPD.
