Hi Guys, this is Abhishek from India :)
Yesterday I got 6 cpd from my lfs and these fishes are just awesome. I have kept them in a 8 gallon tank with tds 170ppm, ph 6.8 and water temperature around 27. Are the water parameters correct?
And I am trying to feed them micro pellets of Hikari which they looking like are not fond of, so please suggest what food I should provide them?

Please advice this is the first encounter of me with this fish.

I’d drop the temperature about 2°, to 25°C. They love frozen daphnia and other small foods, like microworms. They also like to eat infusoria. Mine will take flake food, so maybe yours will shortly.

Little by little I have gotten away from feeding flake foods to my fish, but I would say any hi quality flake should be OK.

I keep most of my CPD’s in species tanks and they tend to hang out in the lower sections of the tank. For that reason, I prefer to feed sinking foods. Shrimp, vegetable and earth worm sticks, algae wafers and golden pearls. Breeders and fry growing out get mostly live foods.
