newbie to cpd

hello everyone,some advice please…….i have a 180ltr planted tank 10 white clouds 5 cherry shrimp and 6 pygmy corys,the probem is i have a very big external filter with strong flow which the white clouds seem to like but will cpds?? im thinking of having 10 cpds does this sound about right for my tank or would you say its over stocked?filter rated for tanks up to 500ltrs and i clean it every 6 months and even then its not that dirty! oh and i have a sponge over intake to stop shrimps being sucked in so cpds should be fine. all advice welcome…
Hi Bean, welcome to the forum!
I would say if the flow is not too strong for the Cherry shrimp, it should be fine for the CPD.
When I’m growing out fry, I like to keep them stocked at 2 per US gallon or about 1 for every 2 liters. I don’t think adding 10 CPD’s to your tank would cause overstocking.
