Fry cannibalism?

This is my first post so hi everyone

I bought two CPD fries from my lfs half a year ago. They grew to adults and I got several batches of fries from them.

Here’s my problem. My parents won’t let me keep more than 2 tanks and one of them is off limits (community tank). I keep all my big fries in a 10 gallon and my smaller fries in a small container floating in the community tank. I keep getting new fries and now there’s no more space to put new fries in. Is it safe to put my smaller fries with the bigger ones or will they get eaten?

Hi Milo, welcome to the forum!

When the larger fry get big enough that they would eat the tiny fry, why don’t you put the larger ones back in with the adults.

I’ve kept new-born fry in the same tank with half grown fry without any problems.
