    i just wondered if people once they have bred these fish do they carry on breeding from the same lot?

    or do people swap some with other people to get new blood into the breeding?

    just a question, as i was thinking of setting up my small tank for breeding, but didnt want to keep breeding from the same 6 fish.

    I don’t know about others, but my originals are all wild and I look to add / swap fry from other sources whenever I can

    i will get new blood from time to time. Don’t really know whether they are bred of wild caught though.

    Like altaaffe i swap or buy in new blood as often as is possible. Although the opportunities are few i think it is neccessary to keep the line as pure as possible, and to inhibit inbreeding.
