Hello there Buckshot, glad to hear that you have been successful with your breeding of CPD’s.
How many fry have you managed to raise from how many adults ?
And it would be good to hear a brief description of the parameters that you managed to breed them at.
One question many people ask is whether to remove the adults after spawning or not, i personally just leave them all to it and so far this has worked out well for mine as the adults show no interest in the fry what so ever. Keeping the adults bellies full so the need to relieve their hunger by eating my fry seems to do the job ! :D

Welcome! Keep us updated with your successes. Re: leaving the adults in, I just removed the adults from my breeding tank back out to a community tank. Two days later, approx 50 fry swarming the breeding tank! Parents had been eating fry continuously for weeks, apparently. No changes in any tank parameters, weather, or feeding, other than taking them out.

Very interesting to read L777. after how long did you remove the parents from the breeding tank??? as i’ve had my well conditioned (on white worms and flake) CPDs in 2 seperate breeding tanks (2 lots of 2M 1F) and no fry.. but i did not feed them during this week… now if these danios are anything like their cousins…..SURELY they would eat their own eggs and fry?!?! will feed them on whiteworm in the breeding tank now and monitor results daily now…..
