OK, I just spotted one baby Celestial in the breeding tank of 2 males & 1 female. This would me it the second batch now… however, I only see 1 baby fish so far.
The rest could be hidden because of the dense vegetation in my tank, or the Yamato shrimp may have gotten to the eggs before they could hatch.
Congratulation’s Hopefully you will find many more Im guessing that you will be pressing your nose against the tank looking for them I wonder how many of us on this forum have ruined our eyesight this way
Well done mate, im away at the weekend so im going to setup 3 tanks and put three pairs in to breed, im hoping that when i return i will have plenty of eggs!!! fingers crossed.
My females are nearly bursting they are that full of eggs.Alright, this is good. My tank has lots of tiny specks that are actually swimming around. It’s “infusoria”!! According to Wikipedia, “Infusoria is a collective term for minute aquatic creatures like ciliates, euglena, paramecia, protozoa and unicellular algae that exist in freshwater ponds”. So, there’s lots for the fry to eat.
Also, I’ve bought them Hikari First Bites and Sera Mikropan.
