I bought a new heater for my recently set up 20 gallon and left it to heat up the water to 24 degrees celcius overnight. In the morning I check the thermometer and the temp is 30! Efforts to put it to the right temp failed. It was supposed to be one of those ones that turns off after the water is a certain temp, but even at lowest setting (20) it went way high.
Would have fried my poor fish!
So, moral of story, look up product before buying. Silly me.
Peoples’ opinions of it (bad) are even posted on the damn website…

And from now on, I ain’t buying nothing Top Fin brand at all. Don’t think I have in the past, but now it’s for sure. :x
On the other hand, I my AquaClear one and my new Rena ones work excellent, and I would totally reccomend them. They work awesome and are very accutrate. Nice design too.
